Just joined need a bit of advice I have been given a webley xocet cal22 apparently only fired about a dozen times like brand new, i want it for myself and 2 boys to do abit of hunting . How can i bring this rifle to be something to be reckoned with in terms of scope/silencer ect any advice would be greatly appreciated biggrin.gif THANKS Told to put this post here Quote Link to post

How can i bring this rifle to be something to be reckoned with in terms of scope/silencer ect any advice would be greatly appreciated biggrin.gif THANKS Told to put this post here Go to your local RFD, ask to look at Hawke or 3x9x40 scope & mounts, silencer will not make any difference on this as the action is louder than the muzzle raport, look for a care kit with cloths silicone oils etc, look for pellets that fit your rifle in the breech as they have a tight choke on the xocet, I would take your rifle in with you so you can test pellets in breech if they permit. As Foxon's said, the mechanical noise on them can be quite bad (not as bad as a Lightning though), I fitted a gas-ram to mine and it's made a hell of a change to the gun! Much quieter, no more rattles and twangs and no need to worry about leaving it cocked for too long. Have a look at the JSR range of scopes as well. Top value and a good firm to deal with. Cheers. The Gas Ram will improve the rifle in many ways, it will be a lot quieter with a smoother action, half the recoil of the springer & a cleaner trigger pull, if you do go the Gas Ram route it would be worth while fitting a sound moderator.
