think max was the tuning point in his hunting career as max was definetly a looker and the popularity he gave ian at the shows was unbeleiveable seen it with my own eyes guys more interested than the look than the working ability told several guys max was only half decent and not very good at finding but they still bred to him ian himself knows i did not rate max highly as i told him as my little ugly nuttall bitch showed max up a couple of times and he did say he was impressed with the bitch for finding and bolting in an earth that was undiggable and a hard dog should not be entered

HECTOR u are right but as for Max being a stud dog naw He was luckie to cover 2/3 bitches a year ,110% on Fox but then we are talking about the 1992-present MAX pup molly which P Kelly has is still alive and most off Renfrewshire & surrounding areas rate her and Max ?. ASK J Tait and others you only get out what you put in ?.Yes I did show him and won a lot but as for not finding u are havin a laugh ,D Jones (ddh) would vouch for this dog if he was still alive as he was tried where others failed A Grand Gentleman was Max a pleasure to have him in my Kennel still missed but never forgotten will post a picture soon for others to see and make there own minds up.

well ia if you remember correctly my bitch found in some places that max could not remember the cliffs you took me to paddy was there up fife way several jrts were entered with no result including max i enter my bitch she away 20 mins and what popped out the other side i leave you to tell the rest of the story mate because you told me that day you were impressed with my bitch yuos had to be caus nothing else would enter

 

try not to turn it into a slaning match it was a gen question re the mans dogs i dont want to cause him undo hassle ..

not turn to a slagging match mate these are things that were said yrs ago face to face mate if you read the posts i have also said that ian is a nice guy and hopefully bump into him again and have pmed him saying that max was young when he worked him and i was there so the dog may have improved so will not slag the man just say what i said at the time atb hector

THE early for Wizard and about 89 for Angel as Megan was 84 which was my tan/white bitch out off tarka to morag from Murial Jones which Helen had and then Geordie Mackay

heres 1 of ians dogs now he does like the shows but goes for the crack iv been down iains kennels quite allot and the dogs looks like gud workers but i dont go out with him it wud ruin me nail job he make me do the digging lol but iain is a honest bloke and yes i do have a lot of his stuff in my lines and this aint a bull up [bANNED TEXT] i spilt up with husband i inherted 12 jacks and a lot wer given away 2 working homes for pup back in future or stud but most just ripped me of i will give ian his due every working home he got 4 my dogs the lads stud by me and helped me . hes a honest bloke

heres one of ians lines an that would be P kelly in the picture ive watched stuff come up asi go with pat alot both molly which is still there and he had a dog chip both had tremendous drive and superb stayer to fox i watched these dogs run for years and as ian knows molly was known all over and was leagues above your everyday terriers, This ones foxy

got a bitch off helen . called mog. it was out of a bitch called jenna if i remember right. finished around ten inch to the shoulder. a crazy little f****r. got smashed everytime i worked her. so i gave her to a freind in wales who done a few with her and she stayed with him till she died. says he has never had the likes of her since. i took her back and lined her with wizard. the pups where the same . to foolhardy for there size. happy days.
