Fidgety 8
Have a trigger kit to fit to my CZ452. I've felt a few good triggers in my time, but can anyone describe how a good trigger SHOULD feel, preferrably with a good description of every stage. Cheers. Quote Link to post

NO...simply because if you ask 100 people you will probably get 100 different answers, set/2stage/creep/pull/ break/weight...simple fact is most would agree a hunting trigger and a target trigger are VASTLy different, thats about as much as I dare say! Fidgety 8
Thanks Deker............ So, if it feels good to me, then that's ok! Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Thanks Deker............So, if it feels good to me, then that's ok! That's about the size of it...doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, if it works for you then job done!! Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Should perhaps also say that with the 452, MANY...including me, would say the Brookes or indeed the Rimfire Magic trigger kits do improve the trigger a lot...good news is they are relatively very cheap!! But personal choice yet again, my .22lr 452 still has original trigger and isn't bad now (never was bad actually) but my 452 HMR trigger was terrible, bought the Brookes straight away, and my 452 WMR is still on the original as well, and very acceptable...thruth is the HMR IS the best of the lot now! Fidgety 8
I got the rimfire magic one as E Brooks was not responding. Original trigger is ok, but way too heavy! Will have a go at fitting. Quote Link to post
langouroux 14
yep rimfire magic trigger kit for me to. the original trigger in my CZ 452 .22LR was a little "agricultural" shall we say. they are easy to fit as well, although not advised if you don't know what your doing. Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
Yep... I have a Rimfire magic kit in my 452 and it makes a massive difference. Light with no creep. As it says in the instructions make sure you bump test it before taking it out in the field. Quote Link to post

theinvisiblescarecrow 0
My std .22 trigger was fine but the side plate snapped (long story) Uptill then I was quite happy with it. Replaced it with a Timney, wow, touch & go compared. I now have a HMR & the trigger is most definatly how much more pressure do I need ? & I find I'm thinking about how heavy the trigger is rather than about the target. I'll add no creep to moan about just either heavy or stiff so I'm expecting it to improve with use. I've got a YoDave kit to fit, if that's no better I'll get another Timney. For those that are thinking about trigger mods. PART ONE PART TWO Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
yes a hunting trigger of 1lb or just above is about as low as you should go. for safety reasons and also you feel the shot better. plus in winter if you have gloves on a trigger below 1lb well out shooting is a big no imo and would more then likely go off before you could feel the pull Quote Link to post
Bluelungbutter 1
Another one for the brookes kit here. Cheap? I'd say. When i bought mine because of the dollar pound exchange rate it worked out around £8. Have already used it to do both my CZ's and there are still two springs and bushes left to do another two. DunK Mine was just £8 and a few pence as well when I got it direct...I hear what you say about doing 4 guns, and the odds are it will improve them all ..but you will have 4 different triggers!!
