JACK RUSSELL GUARD DOGS?

Recommended Posts

Hello all

I was sitting browsing the site at 11.30pm and I heard the front gate open. Living by myself, I'm a bit worried - who the hell would come calling at this time of the night? The two Jacks heard it of course and ran at the front door jumping up and going nuts! I slip into the living room to peep through the curtains just in time to see a figure approach the door, the letter box lifts, the dogs grab..... and begin to savage the local free newspaper!!! I look out the window at some eejit with a newspaper delivery bag over their shoulder running back toward the gate sharpish!!!

For an instant I think of opening the door to shout:

'WHAT THE F* ARE YOU DOING THAT AT THIS TIME OF THE NIGHT FOR?'

But I realise the dogs have probably already woke the neighbours and shouting is uncalled for at this time of the night, and anyway I doubt they'll be back at this time, if at all.

I looked at the shredded newspaper all over the floor and thought GOOD DOGS for being so quick to get up and put on such a reception. You never know who's creeping about and what an alarm system!!!.

Anyway, thank goodness for yappy snappy Jack Russells that can live in the house. They're also keen on guarding the car!!!

P.S. They are still looking out the window just in case.

" Guard Dogs "? No. " Watch Dogs "? Yes! If more people kept one or two yappy, hyper, crazy little 'small terriers' about the place, there'd be a lot less of this, " They took my lurchers straight out of the kennels and walked off with the f***ing Rottweiler / 'Pit Bull' too! " crap we hear about ;)

Guard your own dogs. But a wired little dynamo can warn you that you might need to, better than most things. It's precisley because they just Won't Shut The F*** Up once something sets them off. Bless 'em! :D

Dear Ditch Shitter,

Replying to the earlier Topic regarding the Jack Russell as to the regards of guard dogs. You are totally correct they are more watch dogs than guards. However, they can still inflict a nasty bite on intruders! I have 3 here, one Russell dog would lick you to death another little bitch barks quite well and the second bitch goes mad at all types of noises!

Very sorry to hear that you had your dogs stolen. These Varmints are the scum of the earth and things need to be done. I have alot of friends in Ireland, mainly the Waterford area but also in Killkenney and the county Armagh region...... Friends in the north tell me they have had dogs stolen also. I don't think it is so bad in places like Waterford. Hoping you have better Luck in the near future.

Good Luck! Billy boy.........

Dear Ditch Shitter,

Sorry did I read your post correctly, did you have dogs stolen or was you just refering to other peoples dogs.

Thank you . Billy boy......

Was told story about Jack Russels hunting apes.

The big white explained to his helper for the day we need the Jack Russel, a gun, ladder and net.

How does the hunt work the helper asked,

the hunter explained, we find a tree with an ape in it, I use the ladder to climb the tree,

I shake the tree till the ape falls out the tree, the dog is specially trained to bite and hold onto the apes testicles, while the dog is holding on you through the net over the ape. Thats it he explained.

The helper looked puzzled, why if we hunt like that do we need a gun, he asked.

The hunter replied, if I fall out the tree first, the gun is to shoot the f*cking dog!!! :)
