A MALE 5YR OLD BORDER TERRIER HAS BEEN MISSING FROM IRVINE AREA FOR 9 WEEKS NOW. HE HAS BEEN SOLD ON SEVERAL TIMES AND THE LAST PERSON WHO HAD HIM WAS CALLED JANIE PEACOCK FROM EAST KILBRIDE. SHE HAS MADE UP A FALSE STORY OF THE DOG HAVING GONE TO NEWTON MEARNS WITH A WOMAN,, BUT WE KNOW THIS TO BE UNTRUE. THIS DOG IS A FAMILY PET AND NOT A HUNTING OR WORKING DOG AND IS TOO SOFT TO BE SO. Thanks. That is the area he went missing from and was last sold out of East Kilbride. I suppose he could be anywhere now though.

Thanks for all your reply`s to my ad, I`m Pipers owner and a friend of mine put the posting on for me.

We know who took him, and how he got him, he then took him to Coatbridge where he was passed on via Guntree and this is where we hit a dead end, Janie Peacock said she advertised him as "free to good home" in a morrisons supermarket and a woman called Sandra answered and took him away, she said she lived in Newton Mearns but I`ve been in touch with the local vets groomers ect and covered the town in posters and also got their local paper to run a story on us and we`ve got nothing, I`ll be surprised if he has ever been near Newton Mearns.

After Janie Peacock was contacted to tell her Piper had been stolen she changed her phone number so no one could speak to her about it, so thats all we have to go on, he could be anywhere in the country by now.

My friend was recently offered a 'working' border terrier, ill try and find more info if possible. I am local to stewarton, (thats in east ayrshire), so im no a million miles away. I doubt it has any connection, but you never know.

No there is no news yet. Lots of well wishers though, and thanks for that, but we need some info please guys. The last person who had him and passed him on has told a pack of lies and had everyone running around Glasgow putting up posters, wasting valuable money and time, and still refuses to say what she really did with the dog. Why change your phone number and refuse to talk to the owner and even the police if you have nothing to hide. Even the police could get nothing out of her and have given up. Very suspicious. We need help.

I would just like to thank everyone for their support and good wishes, its been nearly 10 weeks now that Pipers been missing, and we haven`t had any sightings for the last 7 weeks. I still cant believe that scummy junkie took him and gave him away for free.
