chezney 44 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 This young dog I had for a very short time was reputed to be BB bred But couldnt take it as gospel ..He was lost on his second dig I believe no doubt the then owner will be on soon..He was a very nice sort . cracking youngster.... shame to hear that donny, just starting out!!!! RIP young un!! correct the dog did die on his 2nd dig we dug the dog his first time 7ft not knowing the earth was that deep the dog bayed steady till we got to him then the dog was worked a week later in a small earth broke through after a short 3 ft dig to find the dog suffocated with 5 in the pot was a shame as he started off well me and my digging mate currently have a few dogs that are based on the bb line 3 of them being 10 months old and out of the same litter and a older dog that was very easy to enter but abit hard for his own same as his mother fater auntie uncles grandfater etc young dog and bitch 6 months in pic young bitch 6 months mother and son Quote Link to post

DABCHICK 58 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 having kept and bred borders ...( bought for the mrs) family pets... my interest in working terriers has developed... ive recently read the fell terrier, middleton striain of working terrier... ive come across bill brightmore's strain... now dont crucifie me for this... cos i know if it works that is the most important thing, but we all have a type we have taken a liking too.. any of you work brightmore black stuff? or have you, and how'd you get on? thanks in advance.. rich All depends lot of that old strain watered down and bred with shite regards dabchick Quote Link to post

bud9 79 Posted August 7, 2009 Report Share Posted August 7, 2009 spoke to a few guys who worked them 10 to 15 years a go .they said they startred early and they worked hard .spot on i had a some about 20years ago easy dogs to enter good workers i still have a 13year old dog bred off them my dog bud has a tad brightmore in him and he was easy enterd and went to ground no problem Quote Link to post
