lurcher lass 9
how old were the kits when you frount lined them? i frount lined the jill before she had the kits then again when the kits were four weeks old i frount lined only the jill again, on top of this i clean out the hutches once a week and spray the hutch for fleas and mites, make sure its fully aired then pop ferrets back in again i am so sorry to hear your litter have died, try maybe going to the vet to find out professinally what happened, if its a virus the others will have to be protected hope you find out what happened, and do keep us posted all the very best lurcher lass x x x Quote Link to post

Guest shadowz
Only just seen your thread. The puss and closing eyes sound pretty worrying - I would worry about things like distemper. I would get the mum to the vet for a check up just to be sure she is ok. I dont think its the frontline if you used the spray as its suitable from a few days old and the vets have frontlined 5 week old kits for us ( obviously spot on would be to strong ) So sorry you lost all the kits. I know you said its a waste on time posting on here but really you should have contacted the vet first thing monday morning or over the weekend to ask for advice as they are the only ones who would know what is going on Edited August 4, 2009 by shadowz Quote Link to post
stubby 175
Thanks for your reply at least you could be bothered have now all died but mum is fine. I wont be posting on here again total waist of time. you make me laugh, you have already said that most died on saturday, two days before you posted the question, someone replies and quite rightly suggests getting the dead ones to a vet/post mortem in case its a virus, but thats not good enough for you you think members should have given you an exact explanation to the deaths, and because they havent, your gonna sulk and not post on here again, as thats a waste of your time, by all means let me know and I'll be quite happy to deleate your account maybe if you had read up/researched ferrets a bit more, you would know these problems are not uncommon, my suggestion would be get a goldfish instead Quote Link to post
