waidmann 105
as far as i know you will need the hunting licence to enter the dog in the first place mate. to join the hegering will not cost much ( 50 euro a year). quite right panna they have banned the import of docked dogs, they are not even allowed to buy a dog which is docked. Panna 68
...quite right panna they have banned the import of docked dogs, they are not even allowed to buy a dog which is docked. Waidmann, is that only for swiss people, or if I would go to live there I could not take my docked dog with me, could I? ATB, Anna Quote Link to post
lakeman 12
you can get working dogs out there, but be carefull on your return journey Quote Link to post
waidmann 105
i seem to remember reading that the trials being carried out on swiss soil were affected by the ban( and so held in germany).and that the import of vizsla was problematic/ not possible. and so presume that it is a total ban.(otherwise you can take a dog on holiday and by coincidence sell it while there). i would be willing to check on the website www.wildundhund.de ( german dog and gun) for the article if needs be. so much for a united europe i say!!!! customs out of the uk is no problem( have imported a dog to germany). on the way back you will need a chip, vaccination not older than 6 months, vet check not more than 24 hours before. but check i didn't forget owt) Edited August 10, 2009 by waidmann Quote Link to post
Panna 68
Thank you very much, Waidmann! Where the demokracy is in this law?? I'm happy to live in Hungary, where we can still dock our dogs or them with long tails - just as we wish. ATB, Anna Quote Link to post
