fert with no tail

looked in on one of my jills kits this morning and one of them has only half a tail i presume its been bitten off as theres dry blood on the end.will this effect its. life ?didnt know if ferts used there tails to balance?

Ive got one the same this year ive never had it before and i have been breeding ferrets for nearly 20 years.

It will be fine as Brimmer said mate ive always had a stumpy ferret it doesn't affect there work

Your ferret will work fine. My ferret doesnt have a tail and he is a superb worker. Does not affect him at all.

my jill has just had a litter and out of 9 kits only 2 have full tails and the rest only have stumps or none at all dont know if its cos the jill is a polecat mitt or what and the dad was an albino but they where all born this way
