weasle 1,119 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 i wouldnt want smaller then 19", my whippet bitch is just over and i wouldnt but her on anything bigger then a hare.she had a big buck rabbit on saturday and its bigger then her head Do`s she struggle to hold them,retrieve them?If you could add a inch or 2 would you,or do you think theres a advantage of her over say a 22"or23"? When ever i think of getting one though always think id go whippetx greyhound instead, for that extra inch or two.Why not over 21" Do you think they lose agility then or acceleration Quote Link to post

Big bald beautiful 1,231 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 I always had a bigger lurcher, 25"+, but seen as i only take rabbits . i just fancied trying something smaller. the land i have permision to lamp over is short grass, football fields, golf courses. the rabbits are like rockets, over the yrs i have seen a lot of different crosses try and catch rabbits on short cut fields, and non make it look easy. BULL 96 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 i have a very small bull greyhound it was very runnty when young its very slow to mature also its 20.5 to the shoulder and thrown quite bully shes finally puttin on weight now and is just 40lb .as shes so small people think she is a young pup or a whippet x but shes just a tiny bullxgreyhound. at 20.5 tts and 16 month old dont think shes gettin any taller either lol.
