Phantom 631
Yep I do, Well I did until the fecking old git next door got on his high horse, claiming my pellets were bouncing out of my plumbers mate putty backstop, jumping back out of the 10ft shed, bouncing off the grass and jumping clean over his garden and landing in the garden around the corner (ArseHole). He also claimed I was terrorising his old biddy of a bitching wife, claiming she was way tooooooooooo scared to leave the house! So now I wait until they go away in their 'van' and do it then Phantom Quote Link to post
coursing mad 5
i live in a built up area so if i ever missed a shot it would most probz go through somebodys window so its a no go for me as saftey for people comes before a shot. if i lived far out i would though. tom!! Quote Link to post
Guest Scuba1
As long as you stay sub 12 and are 50 feet away from the centre of a public road and the pellets stay within your garden, there is not a lot your neighbour can do about it. Like it or not he can't stop you shooting in your garden as long as you comply with the above. I shot the pigeons that try to nick things from my vegetable patch and my garden is tiny. If my neighbour did not wan me to shoot in my garden, I would be quire happy for him to sit there 24/7 next to my vegetable patch waving them away with a tea towel. As long as he is not prepared o do that, I'll just shoot the feckers. HTH Michael Quote Link to post

Guest Scuba1
Well Ian, the way I see it like it or not, I can either hop around the garden doing a rain dance to scare the pigeons of and that over 20 times a day. or I could go out and shoot them once. I'll go with the latter. So neighbours liking it of not does not come into the equation for me. ATB Michael Quote Link to post

SEAN3513 7
a small amount of courtesy goes a long way i dont have neighbours anymore, but, when i did and was shooting in the garden i always introduced myself, explained what i was doing and WHAT with ( i.e air rifle) dont forget the modern day multishot , bolt action PCP dosn't resemble an air rifle as the general public think of them. if your neighbour just happens to see you out with your rifle they will always think the worst, its human nature. so if you explain first you imediateley difuse any potential difficult situation. one example of this, i explained many years ago to an old neighbour and he started showing an interest and he is now a good friend and shooting buddy. don't get me wrong, theres always going to be the arseholes out there that will not listen or understand but i would always reccomend approaching them first. its the responsible thing to do. i only ever used to plink / zero in the garden as not everybody is a HUNTER. cheers sean Quote Link to post
othickman 6
I shoot in my garden, my neighbour doesn't mind, and my local club is open one evening a week and I have no permission. What else am I supposed to do aside from poach (which, with an air rifle, I am not prepared to do). Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
all my kills apart from rabbits and woodys and rats and squizzers i shoot at a zoo (sorry i didnt do a posty up on that but i didnt have the camera with me so i didnt think it would be any good (i can still do a post up if you want) ) have been in my garden Quote Link to post

adamthomas64 1
i used to and my neighbours kept complaining i had 4 visits from the police who obviously could do nothing and i just kept on shooting but i now have my sgc and am in the process of applying for a fac so ive stopped shooting in the garden, just in case, the way i see it sooner or later the police are going to get pissed off with the reports and having to come round and as sean 3513 said a normal person would not be able to tell the difference between a real rifle and an air rifle, and me having a sgc and a fac could well be used against me by the police so its not worth the risk anymore. atb adam Quote Link to post
