Hover flies & 6 spotted Burnet moth

Not bad Kay. That Burnet looks like he has been through the mill. The tired wings tell that he has been on the wing for some time. Lets hope he managed to breed :)

I think i may try to gather a few caterpillars of this moth next summer to try and raise a few up, i got a few pots of Birds Foot Trefoil doing nothing...... :)

I have never been able to get a moth to sit still long enough before to get a half decent photo , so i think your right about him being a bit buggered :) he was in no hurry to move lets put it that way

They all seem intoxicated wont leave the plants alone & very dozey

 

 

i think thats because autumns on it's way, and times running out...

 

edited in...dont forget the wasps can get a bit cantankerous soon....

Thanks for the comments , i think the hover flies are the best photos i have taken to date, i am happy with them & i really am my hardest critic , but i need to be to improve ;)
