As any animal that has been dead a while it goes stiff next time you catch one leave it and pick up it will be in the position that you left it (rigamortice) at least the young lads are out their doing it not talking it :o

no i dont know what i need for fox digging

does your terrier try to enter earths and wholes when your rabbiting,if so then get your self a collar and a spade and ask your local gamekeeper 2 come along and supervise you,and just see how the dog does in a proper eath, he will either stick with his quarry or come out,and if you find you are finding it hard to reach the dog ,atleast then the keeper will show you how. theres only 1 way to learn bud and thats just to have a go at it, i did by myself and i havent looked back.

The young lad knows nowt about earth dogs and foxing so tellin him to go out in the country and let his dog try earths (or what ever other holes he might come across and not be able to identify  ) isnt helping the cause of the working dog.

The lad has made a fair reqest with an offer of his own so he can learn. Ok its a long shot with the suspition that abounds quite rightly in the dog world but at least he offered a swop and isnt just begging to be taken on others perrmission.

Good luck lad.

Look at the picture, if his dog enters an earth and works a fox i'll eat one of them dead rabbits raw!!!
