the_hunter1983 2
vaccinated rabbits can still get maxi but not as bad as they would without the vaccine,im not aware of a cure for maxi? i have heard of vets giving people antibiotics and telling them to bathe the eyes and stuff but no wonder jab like? i could be wrong like but...and any pet rabbits that have got it i no of have dies still...i no there is a vaccine to pervent rabbits geting maxi but its not 100% ders alwaya a chance of them geting it...and also can ferrets not get maxi?? surely if Cheyletiella fur mites get on a ferret that are infected theres a risk to the ferret? i no my vets do a vaccine for ferrets that are used in the field for working, but it could just be a take on lol Quote Link to post

Halfinch 51
i know when the season starts i just want know if people are starting early because a couple of lads i know are starting this month but thanks for reply wolverine. There isn't a season for ferreting rabbits Most folk ferret from around september untill march (ish) Because (1) there is less chance of young being in the warren, and (2) The nettles and undergrowth have generally died down a bit by then, and makes for easier netting of the holes, but if you have nice open holes, and don't mind a bit of digging, you can crack on at anytime. And i'm Pretty sure Mixi ONLY affects rabbits, not ferrets. Edited August 2, 2009 by Halfinch Quote Link to post
