Ferret Kits born without tails?

I was just wondering if anybody else has ever bred a litter of ferrets which didnt have tails?

we had one in the litter that had half a tail but the mum must of bit it off atb

yeah, there was 5 in the litter and none of them had any tails but 3 of them died after about a week and a half

The only time i've seen this was some line bred small poleys and i think the guy got the breeding wrong ...they were tailless or very short didn't look too bright like ferts should so i didn't bother until a year later these were small ferts with short tails but much brighter animals

I know some one on here the other day had pic up the gill tryed pulling it out as come out wrong way and pulled tail off so could be that put pic's up lad rich.

if they survive just dont breed from then in the future

THe parents are definately not related as i bred the jill and the hob came from newcastle

plus theres been no scabs or any scaring were the tails should be and they are now about 6 weeks old

sounds strange....thats why i was thinking they where to close related as it sounds like a deformity?f**k nos wats happened mate

I was thinkin it cud be the hob but a had a another jill served by him this her and all of them are normal and both of the mothers are on the same food aswell so im completely stumped

Im thinking if there mucked up enough to be born with out tails and you can see that on the outside how screwed up could there insides be ????????????????
