Thanks Doug. welcome, also a fellow fisherman, i wouldn't say 3 is too old to start depending on the ferrets temperament, try it on a few known shallow easy sets first and see how it goes, also try and get it used to the ferret collar prior to going out, should be ok. Guest Countryboyo
Hi lad welcome. I am a new ferret owner myself but have been ferreting a bit over the years with my mates. I reckon the only way to find out if the ferret will hunt or not is to give it a go. at three its not that old so it might take to it. let us know how it goes for you. CB Quote Link to post
Ron Weasley 83
You should get plenty of good advice on this site mate, some of the contributors to this site really know their stuff. There are a few messers too though, and it's not always easy to tell good advice from bad! A three year old ferret will work fine my friend. If it's not particularly good, it's just not particularly good, nothing to do with age. Quote Link to post

Brimmer 220
Its not too old at all to start a ferret, may take it a while to suss things out, but i think that a ferret at 3 yrs old is at its best. Quote Link to post
