Nahhhh this is not a poll, just it seems to be the best way to get your attention. I had a read through that pinned thread and changes here in this section.

How about splitting it in two.

One :"Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips" For all the nuts and bolts and domed and pointed threads and

Two : Hunting reports and general air rifle hunting talk / banter

 

As things are at the moment the FAQ section is like a dump of very useful information, but nobody ever looks into it because its like a kind of spare room of this section. If the general layout could be changed so both forums look the same and not one tucked away then we could have this place a great deal more user friendly.

 

I wanted to make this a poll but in view of just having cured Aaron I thought it would do him no good to see one just now.

So what do you think about the idea. We could do a petition and send it to our primeminister Ian to get the changes done if you wanted them done and see what he thinks.

Come on people don't just look at it. We need a bit of feedback. If we are going to change things for the better we are the ones that have to do something about it. Its no good just to moan about the way things are and then sit back with our fingers up our butts.

Sounds good to me, Michael.

 

The very nature of airguns means it's always going to attract the newer members of field sports in general, especially the younger ones who've got loads of questions and maybe don't see some of the features of this site.

 

On the other side there does seem to be those who don't seem too keen on the 'banter' and chat that goes on here, so keeping them appart a little may well please them too.

 

This section does seem to have grown up a little of late though, after some of the, er, issues have been raised on a few recent posts.

 

Something needs to change and I think what you've said could well be a big help.

I have had a chat with Sporting Shooter and he is willing to put the work into it and separate the forum into two as I can't do it myself, being just a normal Yoda.So its one for nuts and bolts and the other one just for the nuts as it where. So look at this thread as a petition and if you want the changes being done, say so on here and then I'll stick it under Ian's nose to give SS the go ahead.
