fox callers / whistles

Recommended Posts

I have used the same caller for 8 years now.

Then it was called the WAM BAM. Small disk type brought from Arthur Carter £7.99

It is very effective.

Ive got and use a wigeon whistle and one of the fox calls in your link. They work great giving varied calls and volume. Only thing is they can stick with the moisture in your breath so its best to not leave it in your mouth when your not calling.

Beauty is you can call as you aim the rifle as they are hands free.

I've got one of these, their not too bad, you bite down on it to increase the pitch. To get a decent high pitch squeak out of it you've got to bite quite hard, so you've got to blow a lot harder to get the air through it. I find it works better 'wet'

I always keep it in my Barbour just in case, so will bring it down with me on the 6th :good: (don't worry I'll wash it lol)

Cheers
