DIGZY 4
fred walker owned the lion king he was a legend seen him many times in the flesh on ballinasloe fair in ireland just before he went to america he was a proper horse aswell. one of the thickest and heaviest feathered cob ever bred fred walker still has many daughters of his as breed mares his mother was the famous (po mare) as she was called and his sire was a colt that died at the age of 2 yo . people like to say that The Lion King was bred in Ireland. This is not true. His sire and dam were in England, and were bred in England. Lion King's mother was sold to an Irish breeder when she was near to foaling and therefore hthe lion king hit the ground in Ireland. Gypsy people still say he was a english horse. Lion King went back to England as a yearling to the same person who sold his mother in foal to Ireland (fred walker) (((((ive heard there is a stallion in scotland owned by Ryan caldwell who is said to be a better horse than the lion king was at the age of 4 yo and producing better foals ))))))) some of our foals bred thisyear by this stallion from scotland that is owned by Ryan caldwell Bred from the black pratt mare who was the mother to toy boy good short coupled colt Edited July 31, 2009 by DIGZY
littlefish 586
I'm generally not a fan of that kind of horse but that Lion King is well put together for his type. I'd have the clippers at his legs though
