Acd x pup update

Recommended Posts

For those that have been asking and sorry for the delay :icon_redface: ,an update on my pup. She's 9 months old and is coming on in a way i'm happy with, she's caught a few day time bolted by the terriers and hunts up using her nose well. She was never going to be a racey type but is faster than she looks and has good feet and strong legs, she's all muscle and is very strong for her size.Loves water especially smeggy ditches or slurry puddles  and retrieves back to hand, she's helped with a few retrieves on cwd and muntie and got her hands dirty as it were.So far so good and can't wait for the coming season to give her the chance to get proper stuck in as it were ;)

Stunning! Fireman she is a wee cracker. I thought that the colouring would have shown through a bit more but now she looks cream with a beige fleck through it. Sound as though she is doing good cant wait to hear about her as she progresses.

Yeah did any one else say how the other pups are coming along?

very impressed there fireman,, she a credit tae you

just wondering...

how did the other litter pan out, the yin where the other acd was crosses wae your mans collie x?

The other litter came out very heavy and imo wasn't a success, the others out of my bitches litter are still about and doing alright. The pics aren't very good Terrie and don't show her markings very well as she has a more speckled coat than it shows, funny as some of this litter are red dogs with white speckles and some are white dogs with a red speckle. Thanks for the feedback folks and once i start getting her into real shape for the winter i'll get some more pics up with a good camera.

She's only about 23" tts and as for the whiskers,i have no idea where they came from. The sire i never saw but he must have had a little something else in him,she gets a bit of a longer coat down her back in winter as well so i wouldn't bet my life on it being a straight gh.

Had her out with the lamp last night, only her second time and although she didn't catch she never made a fool of herself and was right on there scuts even diving into cover after them, not the best night for it as it was very still with a bit of a moon and it isn't the easiest bit of ground even for a wise old dog.Still she put a smile on my face with the way she went about her bussiness and can't wait for a better night weather wise to run her again, thanks everyone for the feedback and Wild rover i'm due some pics of Caterpillers dog soon and i'll scan them up for you as soon as i can mate and be assured he's a fine looking beast as well.
