Mackerel type traces for Salmon/ Sea trout

HiNow the river has flooded and got some colour in im thinking of using some silver mackerel type traces for salmon/sea trout, anybody think they will work?

They might work you never know but the hooks are a little to big i think, maybe if you can find them like this or with smaller hooks.

Hi Mate, Why dont you try shrimp rigs, They have worked for me sometimes

Went Mackeral fishing last week.

Feather rig hooks are way too large.

I even think the're too big for Mackeral.

I used a small Dexter at the end & the Dexter hook was much smaller.

You can easily knock up a rig with more correct size hooks for trout.

Would it not make more sense using something that is proven for salmon fishing like rapalas, worms, shrimps or the fly rod??

Like jackward saying trying somethink new, I dont freshwater myself but catch alot of seatrout on shrimprigs inshore

so dont stick to tried and test stuff try what you want and if it doesn't work try somethink else
