Its one thing catching them but then carrying them is a b*****d :11:

If you know the roads around the area, drop off at gate's and pick up from the van :good:

one thing i'd like to add is -

Might as well skin and gut 50 rabbits than 5.

You've got the knifes out, making the mess, cleaning everything so you might as well be doing a load.

Im so glad I dont subscribe to all this macho bullshit my dogs better than your dog, my dog caught more rabbits than your dog lalalalalalala :11: When I go out with my dogs its for pleasure and sport and it doesnt matter if we get 2 or 20 its watching the dogs run thats important. Ive never been so greedy that Ive wanted to try and take 70 rabbits in one night, theres always another night to run and catching 30 or 40 would keep me happy. Its one thing catching them but then carrying them is a b*****d :11:

Chartpolski, thats cracking numbers, and what i like is its done night after night, and that to me is a proper dog, Although ive had Kevin Keegan and Graeme Souness on the phone asking for their hair and tash back lol.

i owned a Ferari once, never got out of first gear, never went over 30 in it, couldnt see the point, so i never found out if it was fast or if it could corner well, or last for a few miles, as before it got warmed up i took it home as i thought i could just take it for a spin tomorrow and do the same. When i look back i just wasted that car, and it would have been better suited to someone who would have put it through its paces, as that is what it was built for.

there seems to be a very wide range of people on here who always seem to say the opposite..eg..you say its black they say its white...why do they feel the need to say it..i can't understand how some people on here think...and every day i realise that less and less people on here and smoochers have actually been out and done it...and i at a wild guess may never have actually been out with the dogs.....im not having a go at anyone in particullar but the genuine lads and lasses out there will no where im coming from...

i get the feeling alot of people have just read abit and they take it as gospel, and if anyone does otherwise they are wrong end of....?

there is loads i feel i could say about this but i have real trouble trying to express myself via typing..and just end up confusing people ha ha

as for the topic headline...yes 70 can be done...has been done and will be done again..all the best to genuine hunters, dogmen and women and the people i consider to be the real deal :D

:11: No thanks. I dont feel the need to post pics of my dogs what they have caught etc. Even if I did feel like doing it I wouldnt post on here as this site has a heavy anti presence and they dont need any more ammunition than they allready have. Take a look around and you will see lots of broken links to pics that have been taken down by members who dont want their pics ending up in some newspaper report :realmad: Its bad enough that there are antis out there trying to sabotage what little bit of legal sport weve got left, but when they come on sites nicking pics and twisting what people have said, it doesnt inspire confidence for anyone to divulge what they do with their dogs, some people prefer to keep it to themselves and dont need to go shouting from the rooftops. ;)

Why use the oldest excuse there is i.e dont want to post pictures incase the antis see them, what a load of rubbish you talk, you keep yourself to yourself so why post on something you no nothing about :realmad:

Locke imo you sound a right w#nker ive said it before ill say it again some people dont put the time and effort into a nights lamping thats why they cant catch that much,

a lot of people have work in the morning

Dont post pictures that are of or imply illegal activity and what can happen? If your that worried "black out" your face in the pictures. simple?

Lets be realistic....... ........ who fecking cares!!! this thread is meant to be about whether a dog could take 70 rabbits in one night..... ...... of course they can, with the right fitness and enough game on the land you lamp, you wouldn't train for a triathlon and then stop after the second event and say " oh well, i know i can do it but why push meself when i can just do the 3rd part tomorrow!" if you go out for pleasure and sport and love seeing the dogs run and working, would you not love seeing them run and take 70 rabbits??? of course you would, nobody is saying you should kill your dog, if it aint up to it then thats your fault, but that means you shouldn't come here calling people whos dogs can and do take huge hauls worse than shit.......... ...... my dogs dont get to see 70 rabbits in one night, but they are still put through the mill when it comes to fitness....... .... you never know who might invite you out or where you might end up....... ...... and lets all remember boys and girls for all those who think their dogs can cut the mustard, we've got this little thing called a lamping competition coming up......... ....lets see who's walking and who's talking come october........... :yahoo::guitar::yahoo::guitar::signthankspin:

it's not often i run rabbits nowadays but i took this pic last season after an hours lamping with a second gen half cross.

the land i caught these on i class as a very easy spot for rabbits and we have killed well in excess of a hundred rabbits in one night (not with 1 dog though) but the problem is'nt catching them, i'ts carrying them and having somewhere to store them at home.

i've seen my mates first cross bull greyhound catch just over 60 in one night on this land but what i'm trying to say is if i were to take the same dogs 2 mile down the road the end result would and has been far less ;)

at 30mph u are safe, any mishaps and u can stop,, at 130mph u are asking for trouble and eventually ur luck will run out,, it all ends in disaster. at the finish u have no car and all that work, time and money to have a car like that is pissed down the drain,,,, catch my point?? everyone knows theyre own dog and catching the biggest bag u can get for no reason is a bit of a waste, how many put wat they catch to good use?? i'd love to catch the tossers that were are going about my way, in the middle of summer, with a rifle!! everything was slaughtered and left lie where it fell. the indians never hunted more than they needed. it was the white folk that turned everything on its ass.
