Went to look at The pump as it was only for sale for £50 and could only afford this until i sold my Air Rifle, had talked to the Shop before i went and was told it was well used but in good condition, this was a very accurate description the action was good and the only fault was warn bluing.

After inspecting the gun i asked 'can take it to one of the clay traps to see how it feels' the answer was 'not a problem have you got any cartridges' so off i went.

At first the short stock of the pump action felt odd being used to longer stocks but this feeling was gone by the 3rd clay, after the 3rd i was off 6 out of 9 with a gun i was new to using. the decision was not a difficult one so i went along to the shop to complete the paper work.

During this time i got talking to the owner and we got talking about the gun i wanted but was unable to afford at this time a Semi-Auto 12g with a synthetic stock (Midland Gun Company) 'O he said I own Midland Gun Company' stunned by the last sentence i probed to see if he had one and would be willing to let me try the gun i have been thinking of buying, not just that but he said he had an Ex-demo gun that he was thinking of getting rid of.

My line of thought went dealer, Owner, Well looked after Ex-Demo and last but not least can a get enough money out of my savings.

His words were you can have it for £150 :icon_eek::icon_eek::icon_eek::icon_eek:

So i asked can i see it and would i be able to try it? YES WAS THE ANSWER :D:D:D

off i went again but this time with 24 cartridges.

At first in the hands it felt great very light, comfortable and well put together, first shot IT BITES got one hell of a recoil brused my sholder!!!! but the clay was busted right through the middle pieces everywhere, next shot i am ready for it spot on same again but WITHOUT THE PAIN.

After having a great time with a box of cartridges my mind was again made up.

I went back to the shop and was asked by the woman working behind the counter 'Am i putting another on your certificate?' 'Yes you are'.

So again the owner and I got Talking and by chance Shotgunandy said to me all you have got to do is sell you S200 and you will cover them both! 'Air Arms' the Owner said 'Yes thats right' i said 'I will have that off you he said how much do you want' he said 'what you offering?' i said 'I WILL GIVE YOU BOTH OF THESE FOR IT' :icon_eek::icon_eek::icon_eek::icon_eek::icon_eek::icon_eek:

OK

That was how i swaped my AirArms S200 for 2 great shotguns.

To sum up: The Pump can be described as a used Mower that has been owned by an ex mower salesman that loves mowers and aint getting any yonger! It still cuts the grass like new and starts first time but you wouldn't want to use it on the local bowling grean!

The Semi can be likened to a Accurist watch, it tells the time, it looks the part, it will last forever and its a 10th the price of a Rolex but if you go around for tea at Lord blogs Mannor He will know that you dont wear tweed to go shooting!

Hope you like the story please post you thoughts!

Very happy with my new Tools had Rabbit with both of them just waiting for a chance to have a full day down the farm to get my eye in on airborn stuff.

Cheers Tony
