spep21 0
I think Hayes will knock him out mate. I think it's an easier fight than the Klitchko brothers.

I agree with this i think when your giving up as much size and strength as haye was going to against either klitchko you may as well give up a little bit more for a technically easier fight.I dont think haye could have beaten either klitchko myself but i give him a better than average chance of beating the russian. gnasher16 30,081
Incidentally it seems quite funny now thinking this time last year i had lads on here taking the piss out of me because i said haye was a ten times better fighter than enzo maccarenelli before they fought.....now hayes fighting for a world heavyweight title and enzo.......well enzo is just enzo. If im not wrong they was the same lads off here taking the piss out of me for saying amir khan would win a world title inside 2 years..............just a shame none of them have the decency to honour the bets they made i had them down as better than that

As for khan i always said his chin may not be a major factor if his defence can be tightened and freddie roach has proved that.Early on he was a fast but reckless non stop windmill attacking style fighter....now he is just as fast but defensively sound with the same weak chin.....i always said his career is so similar to nigel benn in every way...including the weak chin. Cleverly im not sure about but your right boxings a funny game....prospects...id say a local kid to me kevin mitchells as good as any....but why aint he fighting ??? inactivity will be his downfall. Anyway mind how you go bill

I agree totally on the Khan subject,he seems far more mature and far less reckless,Freddie has done a very good job. All the best mate,as always,Bill P.S I hear Mitchell is now under Freddies guidance.
COMPO 54
I think the beast from the east will win, too much size, strength and reach difference, Haye may be a better boxer but Valuev has only lost 1 fight out of 50 and that was on points, isn't he 7'02" and 23 stone? thats a lot of man ......he will be slow in comparison, but with his reach and height will Haye be able to land any telling shots to the head? or even to the body? All the best mate,as always,Bill P.S I hear Mitchell is now under Freddies guidance. Your a good man bill In my opinion Paul Cook is a good trainer with some good prospects....BUT that whole stable works on a friendly friendly basis it is not anywhere near as competetive as some gyms......they are all a close bunch of lads from the same area all looking out for each other which is great....but a hard spar in that gym is not as competetive as a hard spar in for instance a brendan ingle gym as an example.......kevin mitchell has suffered some genuine injury setbacks but his want away has caused ripples for both himself and his brother whos another decent young prospect......all due to the fact they see themself as a team rather than individuals on the path to glory so to speak....you probably saw another lad from that stable micky lomax get destroyed by kell brook the other night....he just didnt look competetive having sparred for the fight with his pal nicky cook and thats my point. Myself id like to have seen kevin go up to brendan ingle or even stay down here with jimmy tibbs but it was more than his careers worth....although roach is probably the best trainer in the wrold is kevin going to get his full attention i dont think he will....kevin has a genuine rivalry with khan which can work for both fighters if they are mature characters which i dont think either really are so naturally sparring together may not benefit either.....a lot of trainers go through popular times like roach is having now, calzaghe had his time last few years jimmy had his time years back but it usually evens out over time as any trainer freddie roach included only has 24 hours in a day and a kid like mitchell will be way down his list of priorities at a time when he is on the verge of bigger things.....personally in that situation id like a kid getting 90% attention from a good solid trainer than 30 % attention from a great trainer.........anyway im rabbitting on ....all the best pal Edited July 28, 2009 by gnasher16
