supersam 64
firstly i take it you will be night fishing for them? you can use alot of different methods that work. depends what depth of water the fish are in for what type of line to use? a surface lure on floating line can work.. also tube fly,s,medicne e.t.c. will all work... the most important is to get the fly to the fish at a correct depth and speed... intermediate, sink tip lines can help ya achive this. also weighted fly,s... so really just get your fly to the correct depth and present it in a natural manner... regards SS Quote Link to post

Tiercel 6,986
Any fly that you have confidence in. I always liked a teal blue and silver for the night fishing. And a black spider for daytime low water fishing. Not saying they are the best flies. But I had confidence in them so will fish them for longer, and the longer your fly is in the water the more chance you have of catching a fish. TC Quote Link to post

fin and fur 2
Any fly that you have confidence in. I always liked a teal blue and silver for the night fishing. But I had confidence in them so will fish them for longer, and the longer your fly is in the water the more chance you have of catching a fish. TC There is a great deal of truth in this, a small selection of flies which you have in a variety of sizes (i must emphasize the importance of this) will do you fine. Teal blue and silver, Mackrel fly and Medicine etc will all work well and as Tiercel states having confidence in a fly is all important and remember dont forget to keep a variety of sizes of each patterns in your flybox (i can never over emphasize this point) all the best fin and fur Quote Link to post
