Guest stantheman
I/m very much older than you, I go were I like & do what I like, but if your only working your dog stick to the bridleways, there lots of bunnys four the taking. can/t see much harm in that. Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Don't let your age put you off, WB. It won't necessarily put the land owners off. I started knocking and asking at your age. I was amazed at how people Did simply look me over and just ask that I leave this or that alone. Game or growing crops, usually. Just remember to remain polite and airy. Don't let the knock backs get you down and just say, " Okie dokie. Thanks anyway ", even in the face of the nastiest responses. Most importantly, try not to provoke a bad resonse by thoughtlessly turning up at the wrong time. I know that's a hell of a trick, with a farmer - when aren't they busy? But ambushing them on public tracks and in their yards is good. Exept for that moment when the wrench slips and he's hopping about, waving his hand! Not right then! And remember this: Many farmers wives will appreciate a rabbit. It may be your first and the biggest prize of your life. But we have digital cameras now. Photo lasts longer than a bunny dinner. So would the impression made by the offer ~ once you catch one. Best of luck, what ever road you choose Quote Link to post

Guest Zeus
adam and his dogs thats not good advice for ayoung lad he will only get him self into trouble you best bet mate is to knock few farms with a adult and ask the worst they can say is no better taking risks and finding out were you can go when your 15 than when your 16, they cant charge you when your 15 , if you dont take risks when you run a dog youd be better off giving it up because running rabbits all your life is goin to be a bit repetitive and thats the only thing apart from rats that you can kill legally Quote Link to post

Sorley x 32
WB definitely endeavour to get some permission, get an adult to go with you and leave the dog behind. Even offer to help out on farms for nowt chucking bales or whatever in return for permission. Try calling in any favours, friends of friends that sort of thing - it is often not what but who you know. If you don't have nay permission then farmers will soon wanna know where the F you are running that new dog of yours. Farming is a small community and they all talk, get caught and you will never get any permission locally. Go out and go where you want but have some actual permission to hand just in case. Oh and avoid your own doorstep. Glad to hear it is watered, we have had a lot of rain these past few days and the ground is still like iron. Happy hunting  Quote Link to post
Guest RobW71
Watering it with cow piss/dirty water I suspect, Rabbits won't like that for a night or two. Regards Rob Quote Link to post
