The last stage today then and the Brits have done well, 4th for Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish could win today's stage?

Has anyone else followed it?

this is worth a look http://www.livestrong.com/

Wiggins' performance is the best ever by a Brit and if Cavendish wins his stage today - as he should - that'll be a record as well. European cyclists now say thay a sprint without Cavendish isn't worth winning!

With Cavendish being from the ISLE OF MAN ive watched it all, Tremendous achievent by Cav, the Island is really delighted for him and proud of him, the penalty he recieved (dont understand the sport so not sure if he was hard done too) cost him the green jersey, but he is a determined young f8cke8 and ive no doudt he will be back to win it !

I stumbled across this old Tour de France photo, 1940 I think, interesting that the leader never wore a yellow jersey back then.

The Tour officials started clamping down on aggressive riding in the 80's.There was an incident between Eric Vanderaaden and Sean Kelly in 84 or 85 when they were battling for the green jersey.I dont think Cavendish was trying to ride dirty,i just think he's a young lad and very competitive. He apologised to Thor on Saturday and explained that he wasn't trying to take him out.

I for one think Cavendish is going to be unbeatable in the next few years. (Green Jersey and maybe the road race world champs)

Yeah i think Kelly and Vanderaaden, were put to last place twice in the one tour for throwing punches when they should have been sprinting.

Cavendish is good no doubt, but you'd imagine his lead out man, Renshow, will have to think about his own ambition, he came second yesterday by a long ways.

Seems the tour results are only provisional, as usual, they think riders light be taking 2 new drugs, that aren't even available to the public yet!!!
