beagle1812 0
Hi All, I’ve just purchased a gun cabinet but it doesn’t have a separate locker for the ammo, where can I store the ammo? Obviously I need to make sure the police will be happy with it. Thanks. Quote Link to post

beagle1812 0
Ooops, it is for my FAC, is it OK to buy a small safe and bolt it to the wall? if its bolted to a load bearing wall, i would see no problem with it, but your FEO may have a diffrent opinion, best bet would be to contact your FEO and ask him, hoped this helped, all the best good luck with your FAC Thanks friend. I cant see it'll be a problem if its bolted to a load bearing wall, I might be wrong though! Lots of the gun cabinets I've seen dont have a built in safe for the ammo (unless they're the really expensive ones). Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
The spec is that it should be a separate lockable container conforming to whichever BS it is. Best bet is to get an ammo safe, from a gun cabinet manufacturer, as opposed to just a generic safe. Then if bolted to the right wall, it's fine. Quote Link to post

Ooops, it is for my FAC, is it OK to buy a small safe and bolt it to the wall? Yes chap, as long as it meets the BS spec, but now you need to buy an additional cabinet, if you had bought one with a seperate lockable compartment you would only need the one cabinet Edited July 26, 2009 by Deker Quote Link to post

I've just got the ammo safe, again on ebay, £35. Quote Link to post
Sterry 0
if you havent got that many guns in there, you could always slide the gun in side ways to allow for the scope Quote Link to post
