i think its down to preference if you want to buy a line bred dog or not who gives a f**k i personally would rather have a linebred dog coz you ve got more chance of getting a decent dog its mainly coursing dogs because lets face it most running dogs will catch rabbits but very few will smell

an hare its the same with any livestock wether its chickens cows or horses

im not bitching people will make there own choice on the bloodline question, each to there own and all that but are there any members on here that have bred from top bloodline dogs in the last few years because it would be interesting to know if the pups came good, just to put the record straight if so where are they and what are they known as surly there has to be what with all the thousands of members on here?

think of it like this,

 

if you had a good working dog/bitch that was 100% to you, would you line it with any old dog you come across?? or would you want to line it up to a well proven dog? because i know i would like my dog lined up to another well proven dog

 

and i think thats why people like to choose a pup out of a bloodline bred dog as the parents are well known for there abilities not because they are any other dog. as everyone wants to have a 100% dog the only way of finding such a dog is to selective breed to get the best attributes.

 

i agree that not every dog from the litter will be excellent because of its parents but surely it gives them better odds of making good dogs because they will most definatley inherit their parents abilities

 

vice versa if you use rubbish dogs to produce a litter chances are them pups will not make better dogs than the line bred dogs (not sayin they will all be useless because you can get a good dog from any old breeding but proven dogs produce good litters)
