jamiew 11
carp feed all year round, you just have to work that bit harder in extreme weather condition, dont put a hookbait in the usual spots, try the margins and shallower areas, hot conditions try zigs on patrol routes, hope this helps, jamiew Quote Link to post
pikey2983 2
i love fishing in hot weather because if its hot the carp will be in shaded areas so you know where to put your bait. Quote Link to post
merle24 61
is it true that when its hot theres no point in fishing because the fish stop feeding? Not entirely true to best honest, When its hot carp will be found in the upper layers of the water towards the surface, they will often take floaters off the surface, but in the mid day are oftern more content soaking up the suns rays, when it gets really hot they can be put off altogether, probably as the low oxygen levels make the fish lathargic, i have found the best times for fishing in these periods of heat is in the hours of darkness and very often the early hours of the morning just as it is comming light. This is just my opinion, hope it helps. Quote Link to post
Jamie93 57
When it's hot around my lakes this fish come to the surface so I found the best method is to freeline bread. When it's cold i ledger boilies. Happy Hunting Jamie93 Quote Link to post
capre_diem 0
They dont stop feeding, but do tend to shy away from feeding on the bottom, as long as you are not a lazy carp angler the fishing "if anything" will improve on a hot sunny day, all you need to do is get up and work a little harder for your quarry, stalking and surface fishing are the most productive ways of fishing in such condition, a bait in the right place is worth a day in the wrong, keep low, keep quiet and search them out, their there for the taking Quote Link to post
