Maria_ferrets 0
I've been working my butt off researching and trying to find a place to spay Lucy... I found one place that would do it pretty cheap, but they had a high death rate.. There is a local fund that was created after a dog was caught on fire and it's owners couldn't afford the surgery to fix it... There is apparently someone with a good chunk of change who sponsors surgeries for animals like that dog, between the office manager, her husband who is an exotic vet and the person who funds the surgeries they are willing to take $100 for everything verses $300 She is being spayed next week That is the cage that she lived in with her cage mate.. There was enough crap in there that it was running down the sides too. Quote Link to post
Maria_ferrets 0
She went into the vet Yesterday.. They ran her blood to make sure surgery would be OK. Her platelets were low, nearly too low to do the spay.. One vet even refused to spay her since they were so low.. Another vet did it and she made it out just fine.. Since they use high tech laser surgery bleeding was reduced tremendously, other wise she probably wouldn't have made it out. Quote Link to post
