aaronpigeonplucker 32
hi all, i was thinking of getting a catty for hunting on a bit of land i walk on. i am going to use it mainly for rabbits and pigeons and possibly for squirrels. i was thinking of getting a barnett pro diablo or black widow but am not sure. and before you say, i have read through the cataplut topic in the gamekeeping section and the milbros just are'nt for me as i want a very accurate and powerfull catty. ATB Aaron. p.s here is the link to the catty i was thinking of buying for hunting: http://www.whipperleys.co.uk/acatalog/ba312_pro_diablo.html Edited July 23, 2009 by aaronpigeonplucker
Yokel Matt 918
A little over engineered if you ask me mate… not exactly easy to stuff in your pocket either with all the counter-weights hanging off it. I had one when I was a kid – the sight on them is a gimmick if you ask me. Powerful – YES.. comfortable – YES.. practical… no – not really Edited July 23, 2009 by Local
aaronpigeonplucker 32
so would i be better off with a 'Y' of branch and some surgical tubing for mooching?
coursing mad 5
looks good but there not very good technicly i would personaly get a black widow. they suit all my needs. tom!!
aaronpigeonplucker 32
i can carry it in a back pack so size isnt a problem, it's not like i'm poaching with it its accuracy to strik a rabbit behind the eye and power to knock it out or kill it when it gets there. ferreterni 29
I got the basic model of these, no weights or sights. Is ok, prefer the black widow purely because it fits in my pocket and I need a bag for the diablo.
gilly-93 31
Why not get the Diablo? No stupid counter weights hanging out of it and it has the wrist wrest thing so should be snug http://www.barnettcrossbows.com/slingshots/diablo.html
