FLATTOP 4,455
How do you guys go about stripping your terriers i use the index finger and thumb method but i got to admit to do it well it takes ages at least an hour to hour and half . Heard of some people using clippers sort of defeats the object of removing the old coat to bring through the new. Quote Link to post

samiibbz2k8 0
fingers or stripping! trimming is for KC! Quote Link to post
farlap 19
fingers or stripping!trimming is for KC! what rubbish, all the traditionally stripped breeds are hand stripped for kc shows and would never be clipped! Personally I handstrip just with fingers and chalk....plenty of chalk is a huge help and can easily be brushed or washed out afterwards. Edited July 23, 2009 by farlap Quote Link to post
Guest lurchers&terriers
the mrs uses her fingers. imo a terrier with a thick coat needs stripping every year unless your a lazy c**t and leave yours in the kennel all summer but if you still exercise them in the summer you need to strip them out.
