Guest Champ606
buy a decent collar and then buy some ratchet strap material and cut it to the length you need, seal the cut end with a lighter and slip it through the collar and kepp hold of one end and release the other to slip the dog, loads better, loads cheaper, loads quieter! better all round Quote Link to post

Train your lurcher to work off the slip, then no need for them mate. easier said than done mate. don't know bout your dogs but mine would start a course if they see their quarry. cant trust them off the lead but may be thats down to my training and their obedience? Always train them for lamp, with a dummy at night somewhere where no rabbits, do all the retrieving and usual work with dog off the slip, try typing into search, starting a lamping pup, read the article and try it mate, it should work for you, good luck. ferretmaniac 5
I dont use them, they can go wrong easily and can cost you a kill. Just a normal dog lead does the trick like My opinion though FM Quote Link to post
shepp 2,285
I had a nice one some years ago with a wooden handle and cord, thought it was realy good to use and much better than the nylon strap i use now. Quote Link to post
