Break Actions prefer lighter - even Gas Ram's Aware logun Penetrator / Exterminator - can give good results - would also effect power outcome Or Even Defiant 14.00's - Light and can take the power BOB/R Quote Link to post
wats 0
hi mate the factory mfr fac normally at 26 to 28 with 19 inch barrellthe higher power you go the longer barrell you need for better accuracy and power curve bisley mags should do the trick as sean says? ps you lucky sod wish mine was at that power Quote Link to post

Your Rapid MFR should run @ 27ftlbs factory set in .22, if you have the .20 @ 24ftlbs factory set, .177 @ 19.8ftlbs & .25 @ 28.5ftlbs, depending on your choice of pellet & the power curve on your fill pressure plus ambient air temp you can + or - 2ftlbs. Without seeing the rifle the main cause for loss of power is weak hammer strike on the main valve, or port obstruction, find a good Gunsmith as your MFR will run happily at +30ftlbs on heavy pellets like Dae Sung @ 28 grain or Eley Magnum @ 30 grain, they are very easy to adjust power up or down on Theobens. foxon. I can see you are a fan of the Theoben brand, not all regs work to point of no deviation & after lots of fills they can let you down just like HW100s regs when they foul up due to contamination, the Theoben's not a bad bit of kit & it's still built in Britain, I think the FAC system works well regulated or not, if well looked after & clean air used. foxon.
