Therese 0
We have two 13 week old Lurcher pups. In a fight over food, one of the pups has suffered a puncture wound to the top of the left shpulder leaving him him with a hard plum shaped lump which was sore to touch at first. Swelling reduced but still there. Can hold the swelling and move it about without hurting the dog. We're new to Lurchers, although experienced with Terriers. Pelt clearly different. The Lurcher pup seems fine. Lively, loves his food, just concerned aout the remaining swelling. Any advice gratefully received.

Young Chud 1
if he doesnt find it painfull anymore then id just leave it to sort itself out vets can end up being expensive.... but if he is still in pain with it after a week its worth a trip to the vets. but if the dog isnt in pain then leave it. its probs just the average swelling
coursing man 10
if he doesnt find it painfull anymore then id just leave it to sort itself out vets can end up being expensive.... but if he is still in pain with it after a week its worth a trip to the vets. but if the dog isnt in pain then leave it. its probs just the average swelling your local vets are a waist of time and money,i use a vet in leistershire if that how u spell it,he was called dennis breary but he went back to ireland,i still use the same place but forgot vets name lol,if its a knock the dogs had or anything other than a wound i go see robert meek hes saved me more money than i care to remember and he also sorted a dog out for me that a local vet said would never run again
Therese 0
Has the wound closed up The wound is shut just a crusty lump left on the skin ,I am just worried about the swelling. Ron seems fine in himself and still keen to chase the local seagulls. The only other thing to mention is that he is going through the eye of a needle but he was wormed today and downed a good bowl of tripe for breakfast. Many thanks for your help and will let you know how he gets on .
