got her self a Rabbit

Recommended Posts

No need to put it in salt water mate, dunno why you'd do that. Even if its got myxi, just give it to her straight, won't do her any harm. You may need to skin it first though if she hasn't had many rabbits before.

tried that, fussy dog would not eat it. so am cooking this one for her, better then wasting it. hopefully she will get used to eating it fresh as she gets used to caching them .

I think jac meant (I'm assuming here) getting her used to eating the rabbit raw, not freshly caught, lying down in the field for a quick rabbit snack whilst still out. Shouldn't be cooking the rabbit though jac. Just skin it, that'll do the trick. Would probably help if you get her onto some proper food ie chicken carcasses ect. All the best.

Yes, I take it home first. Dog has never liked Raw food, just wont eat it. Have to boil bones for her. Funny as her mum and grandma love it raw. Gave her the rabbit skinned but she wont touch it, loves the fur though ran around with that all night lol. She's still young so she may get a taste for it in time.
