harrishawk01 0
Been offered a patterdale cross jack russell pup for £250 which seems steep to me. Does anyone have any experience with this cross? many thanks Quote Link to post
half n' half 8
are both parents good honest workers? Quote Link to post
bullx 12
IF THE PARENTS ARE WORKERS YOU CAN GO WRONG,I HAVE BRED THIS BREED FOR A LONG TIME AND I FIND THEY WILL DO ANYTHING YOU ASK OF THEM,I STARTED OFF WITH PATTERDALES FELLS AND LAKELANDS AND I FOUND SOME OF THESE WERE HOSPITAL CASES,I FIND THE ONES I BRED ARE NOT AS HARD BUT STILL GET THE JOB DONE AND WITH A LITTLE MORE BRAIN, 250 IS A BIT STEEP FOR THE DOG,I WOULD BARGAIN HIM DOWN. harrishawk01 0
Thanks for your reply. I don't know what the history of the parents are yet. Will find out this week. What kind of price do you think? Edited July 20, 2009 by harrishawk01 Quote Link to post
DEKAW 85
My son has this cross, She is used for bushing and flushing with my lurchers. Plenty stamina and courage. Gets on well with other dogs not like some terriers i have had in the past. All in all she is a crackin little terrier. Fox was shot ;) ;) My son only payed £. Both parents are workers, so £250  is a bit on the steep side. Quote Link to post
nobjerk 161
i have 3 of this cross and find them to be very agreeable , they have never fought among themselves and are very good with other dogs , i find them to be alot more sensible(but will turn on when needed) than the pure patts i have. but £250 is a rip unless the breeding is top class, closer to £100 is more realistic . bullx 12
the bitch i bred this year was a fell x russell, she is mainly used for bushing but good enough for a fox,not as head strong as most patterdales and never have a problem with her with other terriers, she is always willing to give 100% without getting to badly hurt. jpnixon 7
£250 for any terrier pup is a rip cause there is never any definates that the pup will work. Anyone asking that much money for a terrier pup is in it for money IMO but look to mybe pay round quid mark in that area anyway lik Quote Link to post
