woodga 170 Posted July 19, 2009 Report Share Posted July 19, 2009 well its been a while since iv had a post so today saw me checking the fox snares at first light i had a nice dog fox who wasnt very happy at all .he had been entering through some thorn trees and coming under a steel fence and had killed a few hens in some allotments so he had to go i set the wires yesterday and had him this morning one angry fox . i have another wire set near by and may yet pick up another a nice discreet set just waiting so far this week we have had six foxes pleased dont ask how do you dispatch the foxes again it does get boring after the first 50 or so times of being asked Quote Link to post

woodga 170 Posted July 19, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 19, 2009 [Nicely done you might come over and give me a hand....!!!!!lolIs their a stopper on the snare or were did it catch him/....????? the fox was neck snared .the stop is set at 9 inches from the eyelet all though the fox had wrapped around the trunks of the thorn tree the stop had not not allowed the snare to close and asphixiate the fox the eyelets i make myself and are free running and allow a loaded snare to fire off really fast as soon as the snare is bumped closing onto the neck this type of snare set up allows for more catches and is what glennn, p@g and myself use all the time and they work Quote Link to post
