Problems getting Eley subsonics

Recommended Posts

I've noticed that a lot of people on here have found , as I have , that Eley subs suit their rifles .

I've been using them since I first got my rimfire and tried out a selection of ammo makes . Found that the Eleys grouped best with my rifle and decided that I could live with the smell these rounds produce .

On the last couple of trips to my RFD , he has had none in stock and told me yesterday that he had no idea when he might be getting some as Eley are sending so many out to the States at the moment .

Has anybody else experienced this and does anybody know where I might be able to get some in Cornwall ?

Queer you say that. I use eley subs and went to my rfd a fortnight ago for some but all he had was 50! told me to come back in a week. Went back on friday (nearly 2 weeks later) to be told he still didnt have any and to come back in a week.

He has others but i like eley subs and dont really want to change.

Yeah , I ended up buying a few hundred CCI's as I was getting too low on ammo for comfort !

Seeing where you are , this may not be just a local problem .

Thanks for the reply

Yeah , a lot of my mates swear by the Winchesters , but my CZ prefers the Eleys .

Hope somebody from Eley comes onto the forum to explain where they're all going !

Some of the American small-bore websites are getting excited about these brilliant new Ely-Remington supersonics they've tested. Very pricey apparently . . . .Do you think someone waved a big fat contract at Ely? Perish the thought.

Hi.

Redbeck Shooting Supplies in Wakefield have plenty and at the right price too (£32.50 for 500)

I have just stocked up today with Eley's, my 452 doesn't like much else, especially CCI's which group rubbish and too many flyers/
