Transporting firearms by quad bike

Thinking of buying a road legal quad to help with my vermin control but wonder what the law says for transporting firearms. It will be going 3-4 miles on the road before I reach my permission.

in a car it has to be covered up so as people can not see it ,you can walk in a public place with it in a bag ,and go on public transport with it in a bag ,

so you are on a public highway in the open so as long as its in a bag you will be ok , see if you can get a plastic carry case straped on the front and lay it in there ,they do them my mate has one on his farm quad

hi mate dunno if you have seen this months sporting rifle magazine? but there is guy in that that is an invalid stalker...he has a quad with a rifle "boot" check it out this will probably solve your problem.

I asked much the same Q a while back, about carrying a gun on a motorcycle. Slip cased, unloaded, bolt out, ammunition separate no problem. Might be as well to let the plod know but you don't have to.
