neil r 1,842
The council will give you a bit of paper to record times, dates and type of disturbance over a period of time , they might even send them a letter but other than sounding sympathetic and claiming to be cracking down on anti social muppets they do feck all . I had the same problem not long ago and all the council did was send a letter and give a few of us a bit of paper to keep a log . It was that bad in the end that the 5 of us who were the closest nieghbours just gave up and moved. As for giving people like this a slap , they are so thick it doesnt sink in that they are out of order , i gripped one of the clowns before i moved because he kept showing to much interest in my dog , so i warned him to stay away from the dog and to keep the music down , im a massive bloke and it frightend him and stopped the music but only for about 2 weeks , once the drink and drugs started again it was back to square one . In the end i just gave up and moved , shouldnt have had to but unless you have had to live next to someone like that you really dont know what its like, you cant watch tv or go to sleep and you end up falling out with the mrs over them and when the musics not on your just waiting for it to start again and when it does your heart sinks , its like here we go again . At first i wanted to batter them but then i thought why should i put myself on offer because of a couple of junkie p***heads so we went to the council and after about a year of them dragging their feet and doing nothing i moved out

The logs are for evidence at court as its not enough just saying they play music loud lots....they need dates and times, which are obviously corroborated by other neighbours and corroborated independant evidence is teh best kind! i.e. where independant of each other you all record noise at the same times and dates! rangers 0
This idiot next door plays his music after 11 most night but last night was just silly i finally got to sleep around 5:45am and my little boy woke up at 6:30 There is no reasoning with him at all, the council wont come out between 11 and 7 am anyway. He has been busted for drugs with armed response because he's got a propper hand gun of some sort. Iv'e tried the softly softly approach now ive just had enough :realmad: :aggressive: tell them he keeps his stuff inside his speakers so you hear worth a try
andy s410c 59
We had the same problem when we first moved in..music all hours of the morning,7 days a week.Tried knocking on the door,no answer.Anyway after unpacking my hi-fi, after a couple of weeks of listening to their sh*t,i let them listen to mine. My neighbours on the otherside were on holiday so me & the missus stopped over at a friends but before we left i put one of my Iron Maiden albums on repeat & FULL BLAST needless to say we never heard a peep out of them after that they eventually moved a couple of year ago .Got great neighbours either side now. By the sounds of it you'll need to go to the council & get the ball rolling that way....

McSparkie 0
you ring the police explaining that they just had two cars pull up outside there house and they was taking in quite a few clear bags with some white powder inside the bags, then you heard them saying hide it in the speakers ! they then went on to shooting at things in there garden with a very loud hand pistol, your cat tinkle bell has gone missing it was last seen in there garden Seriously surprised this is the first suggestion of this sort. Being threatened to be shot if there were any complaints would also be a terrible thing, if they were made. Be carefull though, fibbing is frowned on by the plod. Spangle 0
you should write to your MP....you would be suprised what can happen when you write to teh MP.......it shakes up any inactivity further down the chain and for a few potential votes they will move mountains (and you can still vote for who you want!) This Compo fella speaks wise words. The forums are full of the 'hard fellas', you know em'. The "burn his house down" or " kick his feckin head in" types, nobbas in my opinion. Take heed of what Compo has written and deal with it the correct way, correct not only for you but others also.
