Call the police. Get the usless c**ts to earn their wages for a change. Far as I know after 11pm its anti-social and the council will get involved.

Worked for us. Little sh**e nextdoor was coming home at all hours. He and his mates screamin and music blarin. Quite as little lambs now cause they know if there is 1 more report they will need to find somewhere else to live.

I see all the hard men on this thread again, Burn their house down etc.

If I were in your shoes, I'd confront him about it first. Tell him of your intentions, do not let it get heated or turn into abuse or he will have something to use against you as well. If he fails to do anything about it, then you must log it with your council and keep a record of every time it happens, to build up your case for having him moved/warned about his behaviour etc.

The police have very little power when it comes to noise nuisances, its completely in the purview of your local council's environmental health department. The only time they have some power is when it is after 11pm as stated above and before 7am. It may be worth reporting each incident to your local police and getting a reference number each time so you can put that in your log for the council.

It is a quite quick process if you look at it overall. They will need an Inspector from the council to come and take readings of the noise to assess whether it is anti-social and they will then, likely, issue him a warning letter about his behaviour and give him an ultimatum to rectify it or face further action.

If you go around and lay into him, you'll make the situation far worse than it is and you'll end up arrested, as he will no doubt report it, the same as if "the lads" went round, if it got back to you, you would lose your credibility to get him moved civilly.

SS

Go to your local council mate they are all cracking down on antisocial behaviour and they will send out community wardens who actually have more power than the cops in these sorts of situations. All The Best.

This idiot next door plays his music after 11 most night but last night was just silly i finally got to sleep around 5:45am and my little boy woke up at 6:30 There is no reasoning with him at all, the council wont come out between 11 and 7 am anyway. He has been busted for drugs with armed response because he's got a propper hand gun of some sort. Iv'e tried the softly softly approach now ive just had enough  :realmad: :aggressive: :chair:

legaly you can only report him.

the enviromental health officer will provide you with monitoring equipment to reccord their activitys.

i understand your frustration but keep calm and do it the RIGHT way..........if hes a gun weilding druggy, you dont want to be messing with him and as you have tried reasoning with him........what else can you do !!!!

the problem is with todays society, no one has any respect for anyone else......very sad.

good luck

to re-iterate what sporting shooter said, ring the council and ask for the enviromental health noise nuisance team!

No they wont come out in the middle of teh night (unless you live in a big city when sometimes they have 24 hr teams over the weekend and friday night!) but they will consider what you say and will/should come and install equipment to measure the sound levels.......not record what is being said,sung,played......just the volume!

then they issue him a noise abatement order!

when he breaches that they come with a court order and the police and seize all his noise equipment.......his stereo systems, radios and possibly his tv/dvd player etc......LOL

trust me it will get resolved but only if you play the game, what sporting shooter and i have posted are the rules now go and play nicely!

it may work just to point out to him that you work, the kids cant sleep etc...and you are going to the noise abatement team if it continues! but that may also make matters worse as its obvious then where the council enforcment team have come from!

noise nuisance is purely a council enforcement issue and is not a police matter.....all the police can do is ask them to turn it down and inform the council for you! but as sporting shooter pointed out they will log the matter and if it goes to court the copper can be called by the council as a witness to give evidence of what reception they had/the level of noise/your kids being up in the middle of the night etc.....just ask for the call number when either you call the police or if they turn up....sometimes i have even heard of the civilian who answered the phone and logged your complaint and typed onto the computer that they could hear the noise in teh background being called to give evidence, or the police computer record stating the noise could be heard over the phone being read in court by the council!

Good luck and keep yourself legal, dont stoop to his level, however satisfying smashing his face in would be......it would mean that the police, council and courts would see you as bad as him rather than a hardworking, upstanding member of the public who is teh victim!
