doga 50
Frank Warren's just been on Sky sports news, saying that Ricky Hatton should retire. You don't think he's worried about all the talk of him fighting his newest golden goose do you? thats all they are to him as with all premoters.

the_stig 6,614
i`m not a big khan fan - but i dont think you can knock the fella to much for a young fighter he`s doing everthing right and being managed and guided in the right direction and imo i think he`ll end up a class act ..compare khans approach to the task ahead to the path audley harrison took .. as for hatton i think he`s had his best days and should retire ... paulhodge 3
Cant see hatton ever fighting khan i think hatton will retire now, i thought khan fought completely different to how he usually does, took his time maybe hes learned off getting knocked out. i would like to see him fight prescot again. overall all those fights were good on the night and enjoyed seeing the lads from the olimpics fight and win. k99yle 53
hatton is well past his best and should call it aday his made his money khan in my eyes is a much inproved boxer now atb staff Hatton lost to the two guys who at the time were number 1 in the world. The very best pound for pound fighters in the world. Does this mean Lewis hamilton should retire and Valentino rossi also because they havent won all of their races? Hatton is still a great fighter. Agree with the above, If Ricky needs to fight again he should avoid anyone linked with the God of boxing who is Freddie Roach. He's got Hatton down to a T. Straight lines an no head movement. Khan will beat him, no worries. If it wasn't for Roach Khan would be behind the counter in his Dads shop now,for sure. fight of the year coming up now though, Manny Paceiou versus Miguel Cotto. Cotto went 11 rounds with a hard hitting Margarito an finally had to go to one knee an count out. Margarito was later found to have PLASTER OF PARIS in his gloves. 11 rounds!!!!!!!!!! doesn't bear thinking about.
RatSnatcher 0
Hatton should retire the best fighter at the lower weights to come from the uk for 10 years, I hate myself for saying this but khan would probably beat him and it would hurt to see Ricky on khan's record Edited July 23, 2009 by RatSnatcher

Lee85 44
If Amir Khan was called Paul Smith - would peoples opinions be different?
gnasher16 30,470
Well i hate to be a fanny with the " i told you so " bollocks.....but all the lads on here i have been debating amir khan with for the last few years seem to have either left the forum or keeping quiet....... So to the usual boxing lads on here i have the debates with i wont name you but i will simple say i dont want the money from our bets about khan not becoming a world champion within 2 years......if you like i,ll refer back to the topics over the last few years but i really dont want to be a smarty pants.........so how about being proper chaps and honouring your bets ? like i say i dont want the winnings but you could put it in a childrens charity and hold your head up high. Khan won a world title fair and square and all things considered i think i have been pretty accurate in my judgement of his career from his first pro fight.....he may never win another fight but hey....a bets a bet right ? All the best chaps.
