Middle aged young blood newkid in town

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I have just joined your forum and look forward to learning much about many thing to do with hunting.

I have for many years and I mean decades .. wanted to get a decent air rifle for small game hunting but personal situation was either against me ie. mortgage, kids, workload, etc . In the long distant past I did a few years in the Royal Navy and got awarded a crossed rifles badge (marksman) to wear on my uniform, please bear in mind that was when my eyes would allow me to play a mean game of snooker as well as see a 100yrd target easily.

I am now 53 and fortunate enough to retire early and put my efforts into living a frugal but self sufficient (as far as possible) life with my other half. This has spurred me on to getting my hearts desire rifle for the benefit of the freezer stocks and a good free food source as well as the enjoyment of that primal instinct.

I got a new Weirauch HW80k .22 with silencer and AGS Saphire mildot scope and having read much about this gun and many others in the top end have found this gun to be stunningly accurate and very powerful too.

So for now I have said enough and look forward to sharing some time with you all .
