I watched that "Wrecking Crew" dvd a couple of weeks ago for the very first time, I knew it would make me cringe but I was staying at a pals and he had it, so I thought I would see for myself.

Well, what can I say!!.........its the biggest fecking joke you can imagine, a real c**ts turnout IMHO.......those 2 bull x dogs were run doubled up all the time.......one didnt need to be and the other needed a bullet!

Then there was the fox run into a tree stump turnout!!!.........what a fecking joke!!........I was nearly in tears!.........OF SHAME!!

If that is what it means to be out using multiple dogs then you can shove it.

Start a dog off with another by all means and run 2 dogs now and again side by side........but only dogs that are proven to be able to do the job alone.

If they cant do it alone 99.9% of the time then they wouldnt be for me.......at all!!

I am sure there are some good lads on here that run exclusively doubled up (and they are nothing like the plebs on that DVD), but as I say, Its not my cup of tea.

alright lads i notice there is alot of handbags flying with the bullxs... doe's your dog do them single handed? i've heard he's a jibber ect.. why's it always like this? i personaly think there over rated........ i have a pure greyhound bitch will dispatch anything on her own but most people wont give a track dog or bitch the chance use them as puppy machines to throw out these bull crosses that everyone bitches about. i think half of the members on here would be better of at bingo on a fri night instead

Lets have it right Fence Hopper, a dog MUST be capable of taking foxes single handed to be ever called a 'fox dog'.

The problem is these days most dogs don't see enough foxes throughout thier lives, let alone a season, to be truley sure they have the minerals for the game.

Without getting into the 'great bull debate'....again!! Why folk who did do a lot of foxes, back in the day, used bull crosses is that the chances of a dog quitting were reduced, especially back when American imports were hot off the boat.

Greyhounds can be lethal fox machines BUT how many would you have to try to find 'the one' and would that dog sustain running up to four nights a week just on foxes?

For me I went on to bull crosses because I was sick and tired of rearing Lurcher pups from 100% foxing parents to see them fail at the first or sicken after a season or two.

All that said and i'll say, that the best ever 100% fox dogs I've ever seen carried NO bull in 'em what so ever, all the heart and all the speed you could ever require, with the most clever, lethal brain I have ever seen, if the mix is right... Wow!!

;)
