Guest lurchers&terriers
cant be bothered them. They done it so many times and know the score. Put them behind the real deal and then watch them run. Quote Link to post

Guest anonymous
ye got a dog here itll chase game no problem wont look at a lure theres alot that wont! Too true mate. I wouldn't want my dogs to be chasing lures, why would you? If I wanted a dog to win races I'd buy a greyhound...... Quote Link to post

mccloud 0
My Deerhound is just the same, 1st race of the day he's quite keen, after that he just won't bother. Put him after something worth chasing and he'll work all day/night !!!! Here's some more , some too lazy, some too clever. http://www.scottish-deerhound.com/videos/9...oses-april-2009 Quote Link to post
coursing_lad 45
this was NOT adig at deerhound crosses as i actually do like them , think there an amazing animal , and have such a stong working ability , as flicking through youtube , i just noticed these on the lure just cudnt be botherd lol , no doubt put them up against something running and turning , they would be a differnt animal . all best CL Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,863
Ive seen deerhounds run and believe me they are decent tryers when on live stuff.shanehound on here has a dog that in his youth would bust through ditches and cover to get on terms with quarry, and anialate fox in seconds. He also has a few very decent hare dogs in his kennels and has bred one exceptional deer dog owned by another hunter.Dont be put off by that video of a few chasing a hairy ball, get to see em on game then you'll see the real dog coming through. heart of wales 19
To me that is what I would call racing not coursing ??? there wasnt a bend in the course, they might have been a bit more interested if the lure was a bit more appealing and closer to them. I have seen Deerhounds coursing hares pre ban,and they were totally different to them, well keyed up. Quote Link to post
