I was thinking of a B2 air rifle. 2nd Hand break barrel. Go for something like a BSA Meteor. Simple! Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
dont go for a pistol as they are underpower and will not kill. Quote Link to post
hughesey1552 0
if [bANNED TEXT] gna get a B2, you might as well grind the barrell to a point and use it as a spear. You should be able to pick your self up a cheap springer on the for sales forum on there or bbs. Try to stay with the big makes or read reviews. Ryan Quote Link to post
Young Chud 1
i started on my dads old bsa meteor a good air rifle to start with Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
I would buy a hw95 break barrel, brilliant trigger, not too heavy.they will last a lifetime and can be tuned when you get used to it. Quote Link to post
hiho 5
Iv just been using my cousins new gun to day its a BSA comet .177 Its accurate synthetic stock not really heavy and It cost £90!!!!! We were easily nocking cans over with the fiber optic sights once we got bored and zeroed the scopes in we went to the wood (Right next to his house) and got two woodys!! so its A VERY good gun for the money and i can recommend one after using it for a day or you can be like everyone else and get a second hand HW Quote Link to post

jac 12
thanks. any more suggestions? the most important thing is it must be able to kill a rabbit. not to loud not to heavy. and if I can get one for under £100 all the better Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
you will need a full power ( sub 12ft/lb) rifle the b2 is only around 8ft/lbs..................a decent s/h bsa, webley or weihrauch will be a good start some of the smk range are a good cheap starting point but, if it is for rabbits you will need it to be full power. atb sean Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
£100...you will struggle unless you get something old, webley vulcan or a webley exel, maybe an old battered supersport. Quote Link to post

Properly there a newish gun (i think) so not many people would of used them Its balanced well so standing shots are good. fibre optic sights are simple to use and its got very good accuracy hes got a Hawk 4x32 scope on now which keeps the gun light for him Quote Link to post
ellir0305 9
yes i started hunting with 4x32 scopes and i am still a real fan being a fixed magnification they are ultra sharp on the image and really light as well and really good for everything but the longest range shots. i could happily knock shotgun cartridges off sticks at 28-30 yrds with my ratty fixed with 4x32 scope all day Quote Link to post
