had fox in box back of ford transit conect went to get him out miss him he went under the seat then under the floor of the van there was a 4 inch hole couldnt get at him had to take seat out it took us hours to get him out they were some smell for weeks after

abit board waiting for the season to start so just wondering if anyone has had any unusual digs in the past, mine was once walking through a little wood next to a farm house with a pal where we shouldnt of realy been the dog was pulling on strong scent and lead me over old bricks that looked like that an old farm house had once been, right up to a hole around a meter square, i shone the torch down and it was an old cellar, i told my pal to keep a look out as we were about 100yr from the farm house and i climbed in, it was about 8ft square and only about 5ft high with old shelves and a little fire place in it with also other old shit, the dog was pulling towards the fire place that was full of soil that had a little pull out in it,so i told my pal to jump in an hold the dog while i had a little look, when i looked inside the chimney breast the hole went to the side between two lair of bricks and i could hear something moving but couldnt see it as it was round a corner but not far in, so i let the dog in and it made contacted straight away and locked on, i could see the dog but just couldnt reach it, so i cleared the hole out and dug as much as i could round the dog just so i could grab it, with abit of pulling we managed to pull a nice big pissed of dog fox out, trying to control the fox and dog in a small place full of shit took some going trying to get back out, once out we had a little look at him and let him run again for another day, whilst looking at the hole with all the old brick and shit on top we realized how dangerous it was and how close it was to the farm house but what a buzz we got from it, sadly the cellar has collapsed now over the years but gladly it wasnt when we were in there ,

cheers co chise thats brought back a memory from years back. me and the missis was out at the wall [ theres apic of it in jonny blucks book] we were just moochin as you do, any way at the other end of the wall is a cellar type thing, ive never been down it but the borders have on many occasions and bolted many fox,s from it. on this day there wernt nowt at home, so we walked round the inside of this walled garden, flushing rabbits, when the 2 dogs shot down the air vent at the bottom of the wall,well all hell broke loose, they bumped into a big fella, {first and last time in over 20 odd years}well he gave them what for, they were pushed up and down that vent afew times and in the end both came out looking abit worse for wear , time to go i said to the missis , well not 30yds away the 2 sods went to ground and i had to dig um out at three foot to a fox, we let it run for another day, the wall and cellars are still there to this day, but you cant walk inside much as its very over grown, good to let the dogs in though as it holds just about every thing, cheers,

I Know of a lad that hit a badger with his car in his front driveway, came speeding in and flattened it . so he put it in a large coal bag and into the boot of his car, It was late so he decided he would dump the dead body in the morning. Anyway he forgot about the badger in the boot until the following evening when he went out to his car, only to find that the badger had eaten its way from the boot into the main body of the car and dug the whole interior to shit trying to get out, chewed through wires and everything. Made clean and utter shit of the car. f*****g ejit had only KO'd the badger. thought it was hilarious when he told me.

while out checking the snares years ago, with my grandfather we found a fox still alive , so pop beeing a gamekeeper took the trunchen and dispatched the fox. he then removed it from the snare and reset a new one, put the fox in an old fertilizer bag opend the boot of the Renault 4 and placed the fox in the boot. all of a sudden while driving he did an emergency stop and shouted out, anot knowing what had happend I turned around to see the Fox looking over the back seat. Pop jumped out and took the .22 pumpaction rifle that always hung on the seat adjustemnts of the driver and passenger seats.

 

now the plan was that I should stand on the passengers side and open the boot and Pop would be on the drivers side ready to shoot, so far so good.

 

I opend the boot and the fox was goneI closed the boot only to see that the fox was on the drivers seat, new plan open the passengers door and then run arround to make the fox bolt, i opend the door and the fox moved into the floorwell of the drivers side so I ran around to make him move and move he did out the door and towards the hedge, pop had 2 shots at him and missed. I remember thinking better keep me trap shut, Pop was pixxxd off.

I went around to my side of the car to get in only to hear Pop start shouting at the fecking fox, when i got to my side I realise why, while sitting on the drivers seat he had a shit, the stain was there for years and every time he got in the car he said dam foxes!!!!
