noisey 1
i am in the process of manning my gyr saker. i have had him for 3 weeks now and he is sitting on the fist fine but still bates off the block when he gets approched. i have been told off the breeder and a few other lads that this is normal for a gyr as he is only 13 weeks old and they are always a bit wild. i have also been told offering him a bit of meat everytime i pick him up will sort out this problem. just wondering if any of yous had any thoughts and any different approches. atb lee Quote Link to post

Had it about 3 months now and he still does it! Even when he flies to the lure on the creance. So don't worry! He'll settle down when he's ready just persevere. Quote Link to post

graham01 1
The quicker you get him in the air the quicker he wil settle down,he will look forward to you picking him up when he is getting out to fly.It was 15 days from me getting my Gyr/saker to him flying free, and it was amazing how quickly after flying free the bating stops. i have a Gyr/Prairie and he is even better(wrong words lol) he is mental till his weight comes down and is free, and i mean MENTAL Quote Link to post
